(hô chē mĭn) , 1890—1969, Vietnamese nationalist leader, president of North Vietnam (1954—69), and one of the most influential political leaders of the 20th cent. His given name was Nguyen That Thanh.

CHAIRMAN MAO TSE-TUNG. Suzhou City: Da Zhong Silk Weaving Factory, circa 1951. A rare finely woven portrait depicting Mao wearing his trademark gray-green suit jacket.
Notes: Suzhou is one of the great weaving districts south of the Yangtze River, and its quality silk products were often created as state gifts or to adorn official occasions. This silk portrait is undoubtedly a commemorative gift CHAIRMAN MAO TSE-TUNG. Suzhou City: Da Zhong Silk Weaving Factory, circa 1951. A very rare finely woven portrait depicting Mao wearing his trademark gray-green suit jacket. High-ranking supporters of the Chinese Communist Party. I acquired this from reputable Hong dealer and will guarantee authenticity.
